Program Overview and Drop-off Location Set-up
Thank you for your interest in the Recycle My Cell (RMC) cell phone recovery program. Hosting a RMC drop-off location provides a valuable service to your community and helps to reduce the amount of e-waste going to landfill.
Recycle My Cell drop-off locations accept all mobile devices – cell phones, smartphones, wireless PDAs, external aircards and pagers, as well as rechargeable batteries, headsets, chargers and other accessories – with no charge to the consumer.
Participation in the program is easy and you’ve already taken the first step by contacting us.
Registering:
Step 1: Please review the Terms and Conditions document which will outline the responsibilities you are undertaking by hosting a drop-off location, as well as our responsibilities to you.
Step 2: Please complete the Registration Form. Save the completed PDF form and email it to info@recyclemycell.ca. Alternatively, you can fax the completed registration form to us at 1-613-233-2032. Note that we require full contact details for the individual that will be responsible for the program within your organization, as well as details about each of your drop-off locations."

Setting Up:
Step 1: You will receive two RMC boxes, as well as postage-paid mailing labels via UPS. RMC posters and brochures will be sent to you separately.
Step 2: Simply set up one of the RMC recovery boxes in a convenient location at your site, display some posters and make the brochures available. You are now ready to have people place their mobile phones and accessories in the recovery box!

Shipping:
Step 1: When the box is full, fold the flap over the top to completely cover the hole and seal it with tape. Take care to ensure that no materials are able to fall out.
The shipping label is affixed to the box and pre-filled with information about your specific site(s) so there is nothing for you to fill.
Step 2: Call the courier for pick-up. (As of February 1st, all new box requests will have a Canada Post label.)
If your box has a UPS label: call UPS: 1-800-PICK-UPS (1-800-742-5877). You will be asked for the following information:
- “Is there an “RS” on the label?” (The answer is: Yes.)
- “What is the tracking number?” (The tracking number is located in the middle of the label, under “UPS Shipping”.)
The automated voice system will confirm your mailing address and give you a tracking number.
If your box has a Canada Post label: drop it off at any Canada Post location, or call Canada Post to pick it up: 1-888-550-6333.
Please note: In order to reduce potential waste, recovery boxes are not automatically replenished. Additional boxes can be ordered by contacting info@recyclemycell.ca or calling 1-888-797-1740.
